We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest article, "Cytokinin regulates flowering time in Arabidopsis thaliana through the gibberellin pathway," in the Journal of Experimental Botany. This study, conducted in collaboration with colleagues from FU Berlin, uncovers how cytokinin promotes flowering in Arabidopsis by acting upstream of a network of gibberellin metabolism and signaling genes. Our results reveal the intricate interplay between cytokinin and gibberellin, showing that cytokinin-deficient plants exhibit altered gibberellin homeostasis and that mutations in gibberellin biosynthesis genes suppress cytokinin-induced flowering. These findings provide new insights into the hormonal regulation of the floral transition and highlight the complexity of hormonal interactions in plant development. https://doi.org/10.1093/jxb/erag284
